Hyle — Support

Everything you need to get started with Hyle and make the most of your collections.

Creating a collection

Open Hyle and tap + on the Collections screen. Give your collection a name, choose an emoji and a colour. Your collection is ready — now you can define its fields.

Defining fields (Schema)

Each collection has a fully customisable schema. Tap the schema icon (top right inside a collection) to add or edit fields. Available field types:

• Text — free text, notes, descriptions
• Number — integers or decimals, with optional unit (kg, km…)
• Currency — monetary value with currency code (EUR, USD…)
• Date — day/month/year, month/year, or year only
• Rating — 1–5 stars or a 1–10 score
• Boolean — yes/no toggle with custom labels
• Select — pick from a list of choices (single or multiple)
• Address — full address with interactive map
• Image — one or more photos per item
• URL, Phone, Email — tappable links

For each field you can choose whether to use it as the item's title, subtitle, or show it in the list / grid view.

Adding items

Tap + inside a collection to add a new item. Fill in the fields you need and tap Save. To add photos, tap the photo icon — you can select multiple images from your library at once.

Views, sorting and filters

Switch between List, Large Grid, and Compact Grid using the icons in the toolbar. Tap the sort indicator in the header to change the sort field and direction. Tap the filter icon to filter items by field value.

Wishlist

Tap the heart icon on any item to add it to your Wishlist. The Wishlist tab collects all starred items across all your collections in one place.

Sharing a wishlist

From the Wishlist tab, tap + to create a shareable list. A public link is generated — no account needed. Send the link to anyone: they can open it in any browser and mark items as purchased as they buy them.

Backup and restore

Go to Settings → Backup to export a full backup or a single collection as a .zip file. The backup includes all data and images. Import it on any device running Hyle to restore everything.

iCloud sync

Hyle syncs automatically via your iCloud account across all your devices. No extra setup needed — just make sure you are signed in to iCloud on all devices.
